The Importance of Balanced Emotions
A Dundee hairdresser, who broke her leg in seven places in a
snowboarding accident, has put a significant part of her recovery
down to bio-energy therapy.
Pauline Davidson (41), who owns Partners in Broughty Ferry, broke
her leg in four places and her ankle in three during the accident
in Switzerland in January 2010. She now has a titanium pole in
her lower leg, bolts in her knee and bolts holding her ankle together.
Pauline was snowboarding with friends and family, a sport she
has enjoyed for 15 years, when the ordeal took place. She was
helicoptered off the mountain and spent a week in a Swiss hospital
before returning, wheelchair-bound, to her home in Broughty Ferry,
Dundee.
With a strong interest in alternative therapies, Pauline complimented
her course of physio with the Japanese healing process Reiki and,
through discussions with a client, also decided to contact George.
Pauline said, “George was absolutely amazing and, as well
as helping with the physical pain, made an enormous impact on
my emotional health. Having recently split from my long-term partner,
I was extremely down, stressed and emotionally exhausted but,
having completed the four-treatment course, I can honestly say
that the accident is the best thing which has ever happened to
me, secondary to having my son. I feel so much more positive and
rested, ready to tackle everything that comes my way. In many
ways, despite being close to losing my leg, my heart needed more
help than my injuries but the overall impact of bio-energy therapy
on me was staggering. Everyone should have this done!”
As a result, Pauline is now back at the gym, able to drive short
distances and hopes to be off her crutches shortly. Remarkably,
she aims to be snowboarding again in 2011.
Pauline also plans to embark on George Mackenzie’s training
course which will run in Dundee in September 2010. The part-time,
one-year course – which is now in its second year - is aimed
at teaching others how to practice the technique and ultimately
embark on a career in the field. On completion, delegates will
be awarded an International Diploma in Bio-Energy (accredited
by Michael D’Alton’s School of Bio-Energy Healing).
