Case Study 3
- Part 2

Changes
Since the first session with George, the physical symptoms had stopped
completely. I now felt in control of my emotions and was more willing
to talk about them. I had stopped taking the herbal pills for PMT
as this had improved considerably. I now have a vastly improved
relationship with my mum, something I now can’t believe I
ever was without! We signed up for swimming lessons together and
spend a lot more time together, even spending time away on breaks
together. She now says that I am the happy-go-lucky person that
I had been when I was a child. I also got the job I had been visualising,
as I was kept on when a job became available less than three weeks
after I started my visualisations. George suggested that I use the
skills I had learned – visualisations, affirmations and chi
gung – to help me to continue my progress. He suggested that
I write down some things which I wanted to do or change in the next
month… they all happened too!
Top-up sessions
Since going to see George for those first sessions my interest in
this area has increased greatly. I find his work fascinating and
feel I am much more in tune with my energy now. I find that I can
usually help myself if I am feeling down or have some sort of physical
symptom, like a sore throat, by wearing a certain colour or using
crystals to help my energy. However, I like to go and see George
occasionally for top-up sessions. I feel that these sessions help
to “clear away the cobwebs” and I usually go once a
year. I’m still fascinated by this work and have been recommending
it to family and friends alike.
Final thought
I have been thinking about why someone would choose to have this
sort of therapy. I have thought of this analogy to illustrate my
thoughts. Like most people I drive a car. If the exhaust fell off
I wouldn’t tape it back on and hope for the best. If there
was suddenly a strange screeching noise coming from the brakes I
wouldn’t put in a pair of ear-plugs so I couldn’t hear
it. In both these cases I would take it to a mechanic to fix the
problem. I feel that people have a tendency to treat their cars
better than their bodies – if there’s a problem with
our body we’ll take a pill to take away the symptoms rather
than try to get to the root of the problem, not realising that blockages
in our energy can influence our physical well-being. When I was
bullied at school I always wanted to be able to express all the
things I was keeping locked up inside. Going to George helped me
to do just that in a way that was comforting, uplifting and transformed
my life.
